Laser based gas detection

Avacta, through the acquisition of OMD in December 2007, is developing advanced trace gas analysers combining tuneable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) with cavity enhanced techniques. This technology is currently focused on two major markets: industrial sensing and, in the longer term, medical diagnostic testing through the rapid analysis of breath and other clinical samples.
