Avacta Group plc was hailed as the New Business of the Year in the 2006 York Press Business Awards. The award, which was judged at interview by experts in each category, in addition to Kevin Booth, Editor of the Evening Press; David Dickson of Garbutt &Elliott, York; and John Guy, specialist adviser for Business Link York and North Yorkshire, recognized Avacta’s very strong growth in 2006, especially since its listing on AIM in August.
