Paul Ko FerrignoPaul obtained his PhD in Biochemistry under the direction of Professor Sir Philip Cohen and Dr Carl Smythe in the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit and undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Pamela Silver at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. There, he was introduced to peptide aptamers by Pierre Colas, whose 1996 Nature paper launched the field. Prior to joining LIMM (University of Leeds) in 2007 Paul was responsible for establishing the Peptide Aptamer Group in the MRC Cancer Cell Unit (University of Cambridge). |
